Question: Is the list reflective of movies you want to see?

Yes! Thank you, this helps me narrow it down a bit. It would take me forever to watch them all, and I'd rather go for the best than try and sort through the crap.

Ten Thousand Maniacs  - do you Two Thousand Maniacs?  If so   :smile:

Yeah, that's what I meant. As for Nightmare, I got that off a website, as I did everything else I havent seen yet. I did not get a year, but I figure its probably from the seventies or thereabouts. I'm compiling a list of the best grindhouse flicks and will try to see them all before I die (I'm only 23, so I still have some time yet).

Dude, thatnk you SO MUCH for posting this. Ever since GRINDHOUSE came out, old grindhouse movies and the GRINDHOUSE movie itself have been my new obsessions. This list shoud help.
"I'm a man too, you know! I go pee-pee standing up!"

You might also want to add:

* MOTHER'S DAY
* THE BLOOD EATERS (I've been anxiously awaiting a DVD release for years)
* BASKET CASE
* AT MIDNIGHT I'LL TAKE YOUR SOUL
* THIS NIGHT I'LL POSSESS YOUR CORPSE
* LEGEND OF THE SEVEN GOLDEN VAMPIRES (there is also a cut version called THE SEVEN BROTHERS MEET DRACULA - I have both of them on a double feature DVD)
* MARK OF THE DEVIL
* LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT
* TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE
* SHIVERS (aka THEY CAME FROM WITHIN)
* EATEN ALIVE (a Tobe Hooper flick that has been released under about 5 or 6 different titles over the years)
* The entire BLIND DEAD series
* Anything starring Paul Naschy
* Any of Jean Rollin's erotic vampire movies
* DIRTY MARY, CRAZY LARRY
* WHITE LINE FEVER
* CUT AND RUN (try to get your hands on the uncut version)
* THE UNDERTAKER AND HIS PALS
* BLOODTHIRSTY BUTCHERS; THE RATS ARE COMING, THE WEREWOLVES ARE HERE; THE GHASTLY ONES or just about anything directed by Andy Milligan (they are all painfully bad, but they belong on everyone's grindhouse list).
* HOUSE OF EXORCISM
* BEYOND THE DOOR
* WIZARD OF GORE
* COLOR ME BLOOD RED
* NEKROMANTIK
* LET SLEEPING CORPSES LIE (aka BREAKFAST AT MANCHESTER MORGUE and a few other titles)
* BRAIN OF BLOOD

I'll stop now.  That should keep you busy for awhile.

Here's my "50 cent" on the few I remember seeing:
Cannibal Ferox (a.k.a. MAKE THEM DIE SLOWLY, something here to offend everyone; watching this disgusting stupid drek is like dying slowly)  :thumbdown:
Beyond the Valley of the Dolls (fast moving hilarious trash)  :wink:
Coffy (Love it!  Lo-ove it!:hot:
Sweet Sweetback's Badasssss Song (strangely reverse rascist, stereotypical, oddly fascinating)  :tongueout:
Faster, p***ycat! Kill! Kill! (Russ Meyer's busty lustfest proving how much fun trash can be)  :thumbup:
I Spit On Your Grave (powerfully disgusting and offensive)  :thumbdown:
Billy Jack (haven't seen it in over 35 years, but remember it's engrossing but corny) :tongueout:
The Bird With The Crystal Plumage  (interesting and scary)  :thumbup:
Suspiria  (just one of the greatest Italian horror films)  :thumbup:
The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly  (a classic) :hot:
Eating Raoul (offbeat and hilarious)  :thumbup:
Pink Flamingoes   (disgusting, offensive, cruel, vile, hilarious ~ a favorite, but more of a "Z" than a "B")  :hot:
Q-The Winged Serpent (stupid)  :thumbdown:
Foxy Brown  :hot:
Plan 9 From Outer Space  (so bad it's good)  :twirl:
The Toxic Avenger (Very gory, very gross, very funny and very great fun)  :thumbup:
Dawn Of The Dead  (Gory, gross, much scarier than it should have been)  :thumbup:
Bloodsucking Freaks (stupidly hilarious)  :lookingup:
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Also, I've gotten a lot of good suggestions since I first posted, so I am planning to make a second list, starting with Burgomaster's suggestions. Please keep posting ideas, not just horror but any kind of 70's exploitation.

"When I die, I hope you will use my body creatively." - Shin Chan

"Tonight, we will honor the greatest writers in America with a modest 9 by 12 certificate and a check for three thousand dollars...three thousand dollars? Stephen King makes more than that for writing boo on a cocktail napkin." - Jimmy Breslin

I think EVIL SPAWN should be added to the list. The back of the DVD box says it all.

"BUG-EYED SEX CRITTERS ON A BLOOD MAD RAMPAGE!"
"I'm a man too, you know! I go pee-pee standing up!"

Coffin Joe

A little piece of my Grindhouse.

Gems. Every one :tongueout:
I can smell ants.

Raffine

For some reason my eye was instantly drawn to THE GHASTLY ONES and the incredible ONIBABA!

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

I dont see how PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE and BILLY JACK fit into the exploitation film list, the rest looks supoib! :thumbup:
