This week:

Where are that girl's boobs?  On her collarbone?  What an awful artwork!!

I bought Stripped to Kill.

Now there's a good old fashioned sleezy 80s "erotic thriller" for you.  This movie had such a wonderful greasy feeling to it that you could spread it with a utter knife.

Took advantage of the Criterion Collection 50% off sale and a $100 B&N gift card.

And I still had some $ left over on the gift card so I added

Is this the old Russian animated film based on the Fairy Tale or something else?

Yes, it's a Soviet cartoon, dubbed with American voice actors.

I remember watching this years back on Youtube.  Don't think it was dubbed though, think someone subtitled it.  Very good film though.  Often thought about doing a story that takes places with the kids grown up and the boy (now a young man) being haunted by the memories of what happened.  Eventually the Snow Queen "calls" to him and it up to the girl (now a young woman, of course) to save him once more.  But, I didn't really know where to go with it, but it never got past the "sketch" phase.

HAP AND LEONARD: SEASON ONE (2016)

! No longer available

A Sundance TV series based on the swamp-noir series of novels by Joe R. Lansdale. I've been a fan of the books for years,  and I was able to find Season One on Amazon for a good price.

If you're into quirky, odd Southern stuff, you'll love this.
If it's true what they say, that GOD created us in His image, then why should we not love creating, and why should we not continue to do so, as carefully and ethically as we can, on whatever scale we're capable of?

The choice is simple; refuse to create, and refuse to grow, or build, with care and love.
