Check this out, I was at a local Goodwill when I spotted a shelf with several DVDs.  I went shifting through the piles, noticing there were a LOT of copies of the dozen or so movies that were there.  I managed to come across a few ones I couldn't resist picking up though.

I grabbed the following:

Strange Days
Exsitenz
Scream
Halloween H20

Now, get this, they were being sold for $4.00 each, but the entire store was having a FIFTY PERCENT off sale, so I got them for $2.00 each!  Is that a bargain or what?

They had a few other films there as well, a lot of them I'd never heard of before, and so I'd heard of, but didn't feel like picking up.  For instance, they Encino Man (yes, the Paul Shore "comedy") Miami Rhapsody, and some other stuff.  Also saw the film "Another 9 1/2 Weeks" which is weird because I DIDN'T KNOW they made a sequel to 9 1/2 Weeks.

Sidenote: Did some research, turns out "Another" is also called Love In Paris.  I may pick it up just for the promise of some trash sex scenes, I dunno.

Oh, yeah, they also had Hercules in New York!  Ahhhhrnold's first picture.  I regret not snagging it, but they had plenty of copies and I was low on cash.

Later all!

Welcome aboard!  I have been meaning to pick up some more of those Elvira movies.  The DVD I have lets you watch the movie with Elvira's segments and without, which is a nice design.

Thanks.   I like the fact that they put out some Elvira on DVD, but my only disappointment has been that Elvira used to jump into the middle of a scene in a movie whenever things got ridiculous whereas we only get Elvira segments just before the commercial breaks on the DVD.  At least that's what I saw on my "Legacy of Blood/Devil's Wedding Night" Elvira DVD.  I'm not sure about the others because I'm still waiting for them to arrive in the mail.

That being said, I'm also getting about 10 Elvira episodes from a tape trader that were taken from the original broadcast (with all of the Breather and in-movie comments preserved):

Attack of the Killer Tomatoes
Beast in the Cellar
Beast of the Dead
Blood on Satan's Claw
Frankenstein
Mark of the Devil
Night of The Zombies
Oblong Box
Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Tomb of the Blind Dead

Jack

Just ordered Phoenix the Warrior yesterday, which is now known as She Wolves of the Wasteland.  It's a post-apocalyptic T&A thing from the '80s.  If my extremely vague memories of it are correct, it should be an excellent watch.

I got these with Christmas gift cards:

Blade Runner -- I opted for the 4 disc.  The 5 disc is nice and all, but I'm not willing to pay twice as much just to get one more cut of the film and some stupid toys.
My Bodyguard -- I haven't seen this in forever but I remember liking it.
Skins -- Haven't seen it but I tend to liked Smoke Signals (same director) and this sounded pretty intense.

My wife picked these up:

Superbad -- hooray!
Ellen Degeneres: The Beginning -- My wife loves Ellen.  She's pretty funny, I suppose.
Dumb & Dumber -- We've had this on tape for a while but it was due time to get the DVD.

Torgo

As actual Christmas gifts I got these:

I already have the other 6 sets BTW.

and with a 50 dollar Best Buy gift card I got this:

THE GODZILLA COLLECTION  This is the newer one that's got 7 movies in it and it comes with the uncut version of the 1st movie along with the American cut.  The other movies in the set come in both the Japanese and American cuts along with commentary tracks and the such. Truly a great value.

Whew!    :drink:
