It was a pretty good day to be at the local "used store" today. I bought:

One Dark Night. Coming into this one nearly blind but I've heard somewhat good things despite it being a PG film

Galaxy of Terror. No, not the film that everyone on here seems to rave about, rather a cheapo 4-pack featuring 3 films (Possibly 4, one synopsis lists no director :| ) from the infamous Polonia Brothers!!!

I just got myself " the Trilogy of the dead", a 4 disc box whit night/dawn/day and "bonusdisc" of the dead  for 229 SEK ( a currency calculator told me that is 38.2271 USD ) and 4 disc boxes cost around twice as much, so I saved some money from it

Picked up Batman Begins for my girlfriend and I to watch before we went and saw The Dark Knight. 

Also noticed that the local Hastings was having a sale on used DVD's.  I think they're trying to clear them out, because they are no longer accepting trade ins. Sad.  Anyway, the sale was buy two, get two for two cents.  I would up picking up Feast, The Bird With Crystal Plumage, Turistas, and Boogeyman 2, all for about $20.  I'm still a little floored by The Bird With Crystal Plumage as being a used movie!  I'm only guessing whoever bought it must have thought they were getting something like Friday the 13th, decided it sucked, traded it in, and is now tell their friends how they saw the "worst film ever made."

Recently got these in the mail..

Soylent Green - Not as good as I expected actually, but still interesting. It felt a bit dated for a baby like myself.
Dr Terrors House of Horrors - As many films of this genre, cozy..Lee rules! And the Anchor bay release is nice.
Berserk(ep 1-25)(anime) - Like Brokeback Mountain set in the Robin Hood era in Japan.. you figure it out!
Flesh for Frankenstein - ....pain.. hurt..evil..sucky. Seriously this movie was bad, and to top it off an awful DVD from House of Horrors.

It isn't a movie but still worth mentioning: I got the LP "Themes From Horror Movies in Ghoulish High Fidelity"(from 1959, performed by Dick Jacobs and his Orchestra) at a used-LP shop in Ireland!

FYE had a buy one get one free on some cheap movies so I got Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon and Monster High.  I regret getting Monster High...
Won Ran off of eBay for a good price.
I caught up with Deep Discount's buy one get one free on Criterion titles and got All That Heaven Allows and Robinson Crusoe On Mars.

Someone sent me a package in the mail yesterday that contained a six pack of old scifi such as wasp woman and attack of the giant leeches. most of them i already owned from one of those fifty packs my mom got me for christmas.

I also picked up a copy of Frontier(s). I know alot of people had mixed things to say about this movie, but i really enjoyed it.

FYI, everyone, Circuit City has some modern/not-so-modern horror films on special this week for $3.99 - a pretty good bargain.  Look in Sunday's flyer.

I purchased:
- Cujo - 25th Anniversary Edition
- Bug (Friedkin's - Special Edition)
- See No Evil (mind you, I'm not into wrestling, and modern horror is not my favorite era, but I figured for $3.99 I couldn't go too wrong; it's the price of a PPV).
- Iron Man - The Animated Movie (not sure about this one either, but I used to collect Marvel comics back in the early/mid 70's, and I like the character.)

They also have Zack Snyder's Dawn of the Dead, which was not in stock.

Also available: Mad Max, and for good comedy fans: Caddyshack, NL's Vacation, and Valley Girl.

Tip: If Circuit City's out-of-stock on any titles, Best Buy will match, though, when I tried the only DVD they carried was Bug.

I apologize in advance to all seasoned cult movie aficionados for See No Evil and Iron Man, should they not live up to expectations.  I'm my own toughest customer.

What an incredible find - congratulations!  I found a Boris Karloff LP (still sealed!) from the '60s at a yard sale.  Can't recall the exact title offhand, but I believe the border was green and had an insert photo of a Don Post Frankenstein mask over an illustrated graveyard scene.

BTW, Ireland is an incredible country.
