Jack

Ordered Dark Planet, a sci-fi movie with Michael York.  Haven't seen it in many years, don't remember it being too bad.  Course I don't remember what I had for dinner yesterday either...

If God exists, why did he make me an atheist? Thats His first mistake.

Brother Ragnarok

Last movies I bought were the animated Doctor Who episode "The Infinite Quest" (lots of potential it doesn't quite live up to - I think they just wanted to animate as many things as they could to see if it looked cool, and it does, but I'd love to see a bit more story if t hey do another one) and "Carnival of Souls" with Mike Nelson commentary.
There are only two important things in life - monsters and hot chicks.
    - Rob Zombie
Rape is just cause for murdering.
    - Strapping Young Lad

Wortcov

got Stalker today as a early Christmas gift from my sister in Scotland. and for some reason dose that movie cost 45$ here in Sweden  :buggedout:  :hatred:  :buggedout:

Jack

Ordered "The Demon", a slasher from 1979.  From the reviews, it sounds like a real bad movie extravaganza.

Joe the Destroyer

[shrugs]

It's an obvious purchase in most cases, I suppose, but I picked up The Dark Knight for myself.  Nifty.

Is it the 2-Disc edition Joe? I want to buy TDK on the 2-disc edition, but I don't wanna pay £15 for it. I think I'll wait 'til new year and pick up a cheaper copy from Amazon.

There's no real special features, there's no point in buying a 2 disc edition. Unless you like trailers.

You know that, so far, there's a grand total of 9, count 'em NINE, different versions of The Dark Knight on DVD right now? Ugh. Those Warner Bros. guys really know how to overdo an already overdone release.

Anyway... I just got a few things I ordered in the mail. I got Robotrix, Cool Devices Vol. 1, and Der Todesengel. I haven't seen any of 'em before (though I've been dying to watch Robotrix for a loooong time), and I plan to post reviews of each of 'em up on Bearded Weirdo Reviews sometime in the near future. I fully expect Der Todesengel (not to be confused with Der Todesking) to suck royally.

"On a mountain of skulls in a castle of pain, I sat on a throne of blood. What was will be, what is will be no more. Now is the season of evil." - Vigo (former Carpathian warlord and one-time Slayer lyric-writer)

Hammock Rider

I just grabbed some cheap Steven Seagal, which is the only Steven Seagal as far as I'm concerned. I got The Patriot, Out for a Kill and maybe his best work, Out for Justice. I also picked up Nicole Eggert's Robocop ...um...homage...The Demolitionist.
Jumping Kings and Making Haste Ain't my Cup of Meat

Saucerman

Picked up Tim Burton's "Ed Wood" as a Christmas present for myself...which means I don't actually get it until Christmas morning.

KYGOTC

#911
(all on VHS)

and there is one more but i cant remember the name of it. I havent watched any of them yet exept for a chunk of EVIL ED. Dont know what to think so far.
"I'm a man too, you know! I go pee-pee standing up!"

Flick James

Picked up "Vampiros Lesbos" recently.  Got to be one of the most kick-ass soundtracks ever.  Really cool 60's psychelic Hammond organ music throughout, and a wonderfully bad film.
I don't always talk about bad movies, but when I do, I prefer badmovies.org

Javakoala

Scored the 1978 version of "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" on DVD for only $5 and the buy of the week is the K. Gordon Murray "Santa Claus" for $2 and it also has "Santa Claus Conquers the Martians," which I already had at least two copies of, but what the hell...TWO BUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!

And I have on order for when they release next year:

Frankly, I'm about to wet my pants to see "Horror High" and "Nightmare In Wax" again.  I loved those when I was growing up.
