Umaril Has Returned

Oi, mates!
Let's put on our Doc Martins and head to the pub in our old lorry and kick back a few pints, and crank the UK Subs as we head there!

Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Ecophany Gaia - Really wonderful stuff from the folks behind the Akira soundtrack and the third part of a musical trilogy, with Akira being the second part and Ecophany Rinne the first.

"Easy Winners" by Max Roach Double Quartet (string quartet + jazz quartet)

Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas soundtrack

"Clean, Shaven" soundtrack - the soundtrack (which is basically noise) was never released commercially but comes as an extra on the Criterion DVD. Mofo Rising would like this.

Also: Free music Saturday! Downloaded the first two albums off of this page: http://www.rediscovery.us/paperbacks.html

Dvorak #9 and Tchaicovsky #5

"ReDiscovery's Paperback Classics are 320kbps downloads. There are usually no notes or cover art enclosed. Just the music: memorable performances that might have sonic or technical flaws, or may not be of sufficient consumer interest for a catalog release. All Paperbacks are free downloads."

A little different idea for a soundtrack: Charles Laughton reads selections from the original novel, accompanied by musical clips from the movie.

Weird Al's "Eat It" Unplugged sounds an awfully a lot like Eric Clapton's "Layla."

Yes, it does sound a lot like it.  I like it, though.

"Radio Radio" by Elvis Costello, for some inexplicable reason covered by Weird Al. :buggedout:
"Weird Al" Yankovic - Radio Radio

Nice hearing him doing straight up covers, not parodies.   :bouncegiggle:
