Last week, Youtube had a video of their Saturday Night Live performance of rearviewmirror.  It was incredible.  It's been taken down, however; I tried to find it last night.  Oh well.

This week for me:  Nirvana, Alice in Chains and Emerson Lake and Powell. I have not gotten into Christmas music yet.

Professor Hathaway: Up the voltage.

Odd title and a silly fishy theme, but Steve Hillage is an awesome guitarist, and it's an excellent record.  It's pretty spacey at times (Hillage was in Gong afterall, but Fish Rising isn't as weird as any Gong music I've heard), but it has its rocking moments (there's a bit in the 17 minute Solar Musick Suite that almost sounds like Mahavishnu Orchestra).
