"Innova 2010: Music with Sound."  Sampler of highly non-commercial avant-garde classical and even some jazz.  I eat this stuff up!

I don't know if that collection has anything from Royal Hartigan on it, but he has a few records on the Innova label.  He's an excellent jazz/world percussionist who's pretty much unknown.  I have his album Blood Drum Spirit which has some awesome music on it.  I think that it can be bought for fairly cheap from other sellers on Amazon.  AMG has a good review and some samples from it:

Sorry for the all "Weird Al" post.  Saw him in concert last night, and it was absolutely the BEST live show I've seen by a 'major' artist.  And, he's nice too.  Met him after the show, he was pleasant to talk to, and didn't mind signing autographs, etc., despite it being midnight and having a good distance to drive, from Philly to some point in like, New Hampshire for a show tonight.

Nope, no Royal Hartigan on the sampler.  :bluesad:  I'll keep his name in mind.  I searched for him and his name came up as a sideman on an album I'm interested in by Paul Austerlitz.
