I was born in NYC-I went back in 1979-lived their for 3 years I listened to punk-and hip hop. I liked both.
But I was outside by the punks-I was too country-even though I got in the Mudd Club because I was so drunk-they didnt let anybody there.
I got in becacause I was drssed in black with a confederate flag belt buckle--long hair-dressed in black. I was so drunk. I was with a 17 year old girl -Nichole-she was a Twisted Sister Fan-I was a punk. This was 1982.

It was swell-I seen Dead Boys at the Mudd Club-I never got into CBGBS-I didnt care-I got into Mudd Clubb beccause the girl I was with was some kinda slut.
Mostly I listened to s**t I heard on the bus.

Frankie Smith, the singer of this song, is a Philly boy.  They play this song ALL the time here cause he's a local boy and they reference the local buses on his song.  I love it, either way.
