I recently watched the original Batman and I have to admit that Michael Keaton is hands down the best actor to portray the Caped Crusader.

I also watched Multiplicity recently and while the story in that film isn't the greatest, Keaton does his best to create four seperate characters who all look exactly like him but behave very differently from one another.
He's a very underrated actor.

I chose Mr. Mom as my favorite Michael Keaton film.  I can watch that movie over and over and not get tired of it.

It was followed closely by the original Batman and then Beetlejuice.
I loved his performance as the put-upon car manufacturer forced to work with Japanese executives in Gung Ho.

He was great as the bad guy in Pacific Heights and so convincing as the despicable tenant from Hell that I actually felt sorry for Matthew Modine and Melanie Griffith's characters.

(not safe for work!)

I purposely left out any TV stuff he's done or movies where he isn't in the lead role. (except for Jackie Brown)

I had to go with Beetlejuice.  That film is just pure classic.

As for Keaton being the best Batman....I'm gonna have to disagree.  I still enjoy the Tim Burton Batman flicks, and Keaton does a good job, but they pale when compared to Batman Begins.  So far, Bale is the best Batman in my opinion.

I chose MR MOM.  If I could vote for more than one, NIGHT SHIFT would be up there, too.

I've only seen CLEAN AND SOBER once, and as I recall, it was a rather disturbing movie.  He does a good job in comedy and serious roles and has been a favorite of mine since I first saw NIGHT SHIFT.

I voted for The Dream Team. It's like a wackier version of One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and it's oddly the first Michael Keaton movie I think of when his name comes up. Don't ask me why, it's just how my mind works... or doesn't work.  :tongueout:

Otherwise I'd have to split it between Batman and Beetlejuice.

Ahhh, yes.  Mr. Mom, that was before Terri Garr looked like she got hit by a truck... :tongueout:

Loved Beetlejuice, but I have to say Batman Returns. It is, in my opinion, the most underrated of all the Batman films.

For me Keaton is one of those actors that is underrated enough to deserve kudos but too bland (or boring) to make a good leading man. I'd say his best roles are in "Pacific Heights" and in "Desperate measures".
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

I've got two picks. For  the movie I think Keaton was the best in, it would be Batman. If I'm not mistaken, Burton got a lot of flack for casting Keaton as Bruce Wayne. All of that was quickly quieted after the movie came out, however. It's not often that you steal scenes from Jack Nicholson.

My other choice is for just an awesome movie, and that's Johnny Dangerously. That movie was friggin' hilarious! It was a bit hit or miss, but when it hit, it hit hard. You can't forget this classic clip:

I loved his performances in Gung Ho and Beetlejuice. However, what could be better than Michael Keaton? More Michael Keaton.

That' why I voted for Multiplicity. Michael Keaton as a retarded clone... I laugh evertime.

For obvious reasons I like both Batman movies with Keaton in it.  But I chose Beetlejuice because of its wickedly twisted humor and how Juice scared those houseguests.

I've gone with Beetlejuice, he was perfect in that role but Gung Ho comes in a close second, well maybe not that close.

Mr. DS

Beetlejuice by far.  It wouldn't be a week if I didn't quote that movie somewhere.

Another vote for THE DREAM TEAM...very underrated film that one.

Batman, because I used to be a die-hard comic book geek.
