I visited that web site for the Journey game. Is it me or does the manager looks like the Kool Aid guy?

You're definitely not alone Dark. I saw the image before reading the words attached and thought you were making mention of the actual Kool-Aid Man game. That's just weird. The manager from the Journey game looking like Kool-Aid Man is almost as nonsensical as the A-Team game being about Mr. T's giant floating head zapping bad guys with eye beams... but only almost.

Anyone remember Mogul Maniac?  Its the one where you actually play on a foot pad.

There was a foot pad for the 2600?! :buggedout:

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons
"I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder." - Jaws: the Revenge

I own the exact same shirt and I get compliments on it all the time.

Hahaha! YES! It's the only way you can get away with saying "Would you like to suck my c*ck" to a woman you just met without getting slapped in the face or arrested.  :teddyr:

Yes sir Inspector Gadget.  Actually it was called the Joyboard.  You stood on it in the Mogul Maniac game and controlled the skis.  Check out the link below.  Think Alpine Racer minus the cool graphics.  Check out the link below Anubis.

Wow, that is so cool! I can't believe I've never heard of it before now! Any idea how much that cost when it first came out!?

Not sure, I'll ask my brother next time I talk to him.  All I remember was it was a bit unsteady and easy to fall from if you weren't careful.

Has anyone heard of Dragonfire or Demon Attack?  Two more of my favorites.

Yep. Got them both around here somewhere.

Anyone remember how with Activision games, you could get a patch by reaching a certain score, taking a picture of the screen and mailing it in? I had a bunch of Activision games, but only managed to earn about half the patches for them. I need to break out the Atari and give Kaboom another shot...

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

Mr. DS

I can't recall that Activision thing but on a side note, I have a PS1 game that has a huge Activision collection.  About 30 old school Atari games on one disc.  I may just break that out tonight.

I remember the patches.  I came into the Atari in the late 80s when it was starting to get decimated by the NES.  I had actually begged for an NES for Christmas but my parents couldn't afford one.  Instead I got an Atari sitting under the tree that year as it was considerably cheaper than the NES.  I ended up preferring it over the NES.  Every kid around here had a NES, but no one had an Atari.

Game companies don't do things like they used to.  A great example would be the patches like Shadow mentioned.  Anyone else remember the Atari catalogs where one could order any number of Atari branded merchandise.  Pens, backpacks, games, dinner plates, frisbees, etc.  I remember having a ton of those catalogs when I was a kid.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

If you had to choose one game you love/loved the most for Atari 2600 what would it be and why?

My vote goes to Combat.

Loved Combat.  We used to play that for hours and hours.  Turn on the bouncy walls and then have at each other.  Warlords was another we played a lot.  Single player, I would go to town on Missile Command, Asteroids, and Adventure.  I hated that stupid freaking bat!

I remember Berzerk!  That game drove me nuts.  I think that I always had too much of an imagination and could just see my poor little character, screaming as a robot zapped him.  Wasn't there a killer smiley face, too?

There was a killer smiley face in Beserk and I think it appeared when you took too long trying to get through a stage.
