Sounds great to me!

We are hitting the hundred degree mark for the first time all summer . . . but I'm kinda glad to see it.  We are in Texas, this is August, and it's just that time.  I did stop mowing this morning when I caught myself shaking my fist at the 8 foot tall Johnson grass in our ditch and screaming maniacally:  "DIE!!!DIE!!DIE!!!"

Texas is getting our summer weather, lots and lots of rain and heat. The 100's are not out of the norm around here from late June to early Sept but this year the rain has just passed us by, I've mowed the yard 1 once in the last 2 and half months. Which is good if you hate to mow, bad if you need hay and have crops.

There no raini in the future and nothing but heat according to the weather. The corn here is going to be at 50% yield if lucky.

Well supposedly talking to plants helps, maybe you'll convince a few that way.

Been waiting for someone on the board to rickroll another.  At least no one has been Chocolate Rained yet.

Oh, ok so I get to be the victim here ... fine. Not only do I get to work in the extreme heat, I get to come in here and be abused.  That's ok I'm not ready to delete my account just yet .... doh!

It hit 105 here today.

Later on we're making root beer floats and watching Happy Feet or Ice Age to take our minds off the heat.

We were around 100 again today but the radio said the heat index was around 120.  This is on the coast, mind you, where the temperatures are usually a bit lower than inland areas.

We hit 106 with a 'real feel' temp of around 120+. (Does it really matter when it's a106 what the reel feel is?) It's only 102 right now and I didn't get much done today at all, I live in the swamp bottom lands of western TN and KY and the air is dead still and you can cut it with a knife it's so thick. Looks like I'll be working the late shift again in the shop it's only time it's cool  enough to get much done, the low last  night was 82 it was still in the upper 80's when I called it quits at about 2:30AM. I heard on the weather it's getting down to 79 tonight ... burrr. I hate working at night I prefer sunlight, it never looks the same in artificial lighting.

We're in winter, and I just got back from the snow last weekend.  Soon I'll be complaining about the heat while you're all complaining about the cold.

I'm always so out of the loop...
