Ha! I remember those TV ads for Beyond the Door scaring the living crap out of me as a kid.

The FDA has been looking for a generic name for Viagra. After careful consideration by a team of government experts, it recently announced that it has settled on the generic name of Mycoxafloppin. Also considered were Mycoxafailin, Mydixadrupin, Mydixarizin, Dixafix, and of course, Ibepokin.

The Giant Spider Invasion - how is it that i've not seen this? lol  I thought i saw all the spider movies, which in combination with living in arizona created a phobia of them. You know when someone abandoned a house there the tarantulas would cover it?

RCMerchant

I saw the GIANT SPIDER INVASION....the Skipper-(from Gilligan's Island:Alan Hale) is in it too...and he calls somebody "Little Buddy ! And the giant spider used was a hair-covered Volksvagen...it's eyes were the headlights! I highly recommmed it!
Oh...the CURSE of the LIVING DEAD movie is also known as KILL,BABY KILL! by Mario Bava (about a ghostly girl,)and the CRYPT of the LIVING DEAD,(which I usta have,is about a vampire Oueen aka Malenka,OUEEN of the VAMPIRES!  (More worthless trivia from the storage area that usta be my mind...)

What? no Torso!...TORSO!...TORSO!...TORSO!!

I love this stuff. Those SWV collections are vital B-Movie party material.
That's my driver's license picture....I hate that picture!"

I defintely remember several of those. I wonder how many people were able to take advantage of that Insane Insurance Policy for watching the ORGY OF THE LIVING DEAD trilogy?

The scariest 70's trailer was for Larry Cohen's IT'S ALIVE. The movie itself was a pretty terrifying experience for this 10 year old.

I remember having to take this Count Dracula Society oath (minus the Zacherley insert) before seeing DRACULA A.D. 1972 at the Beautiful Lake Theater!

[youtube=425,350]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=adIAW12bW-s

Supposedly that's Barry Atwater (The Night Stalker) in the vampire makeup.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Love the DRACULA clip!!!! I goof around on youtube and look at the old t railers alla time!---I love this movie

The guy who put all of those up has a lot of other good stuff up there too, like entire movies.

The Burgomaster

I love this stuff.  I already have some of these (like CARNIVAL OF BLOOD, THE NIGHT EVELYN CAME OUT OF THE GRAVE, and IT'S ALIVE) on DVD.  I have been awaiting an official U.S. realease of BEYOND THE DOOR (I already have SHOCK aka BEYOND THE DOOR II), but I need to get my hands on the original BEYOND THE DOOR.  Part II wasn't a real sequel, they just retitled it to make people think it was.  The more 1970s drive-in trash I can get my hands on, the happier I'll be.

There is one you might want to check out.  It's a Satanic possession flick called THE ANTICHRIST.  It's bad, but it's much more entertaining than most similar flicks from the 70s.  And where the hell are the DVD releases of the original WILLARD and BEN?  And the damned doberman movies (starting with THE DOBERMAN GANG)?
"Do not walk behind me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me, for I may not follow. Do not walk beside me either. Just pretty much leave me the hell alone."

QuoteTHE DOBERMAN GANG

I had a passion for those "Doberman Gang" movies. Even the one that starred Fred Astaire.

If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

RCMerchant

WILLARD was the very first movie I saw when we moved to Michigan. I saw it at the STRAND theatre in Paw Paw. The ol' Strand still is their, and still plays movie's!

Lotsa good memories...SINBADS GOLDEN VOYAGE,CLASH of the TITANS,JAWS,DR.PHIBES RISES AGAIN,THEATRE of BLOOD,FROGS,PHASE IV,EARTHQUAKE,lotsa diasaster movies...
They usta have double features on Saterdays, too! Some of those that I enjoyed were-
.HOMBODIES and PSYCHIC KILLER
.SHADOW of the HAWK and RACE with the DEVIL
.BLOOD SUCKERS and DRACULA A.D. 1972
.

Allhallowsday

This trailer, way back when, made me want to see this movie and I was not disappointed:

If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

Almost any B movie trailers from the 70's are gold. I have a particular fondness for the exploitation/blaxploitation trailers from that era.

And I was actually expecting GOOD karma for that last post!
