So I heard that Requiem For A Dream score in something yet again...

Don't you guys reckon it's so degrading how that music is used as if it's public domain? I heard it again, this time in a trailer for the Terminator TV series. It's used in just about everything on YouTube, and in numerous trailers, it's as if people go "omg this music sounds so epic, it will make my movie bettur!"

I've heard numerous people say, "...and I just loved the score for the Lord Of The Rings films!  It just worked so well!".  I then try to tell them that it was a score created by Clint Mansell for Requiem For A Dream.  People normally look at me like I'm an idiot and ask just what the hell Requiem For A Dream is.

I see the music everywhere.  Trailers are the main offenders.  It seems every new action film needs to have the music in it.  It's ironic to me that this "epic" music was created for a very small, indie, depressing, drama.

A bald man named Savalas visited me last night in a dream.  I think it was a Telly vision.

The score wasn't even used in the LotR films though, only in the Two Towers trailer. The films themselves have an entirely original score. It's annoying because a once great piece of music is starting to sound really tacky and cliche.
