Famous Cliff?

Was just watching The She Creature (50s), and noticed when the car went over the cliff, it sure looked familiar. I'm sure I've seen the same cliff many times. Different cars, different movies, but the same cliff.

Was wondering if there is a spot (probably in California) that is particularly suitable for filming a car falling over a cliff. A place film and TV people have been going back to for decades.

Or maybe there's a piece of footage that keeps getting re-used.

I'm inclined to think it's a bit of both. Anybody know?
