Well, I was supposed to pick up Galaxy today, but since Nintendo made the ass-backwards mistake of releasing the game on a holiday, none of the shops around here will get their shipments in until tomorrow. If I was willing to pay an extra $15 for it, I could've gone into Manhattan last night for the release party at Nintendo World, but I'd rather not have to ride the subway back home after midnight ever again. The local train in my neighborhood literally comes through once an hour after 11. However, unable to buy Galaxy I would not be deterred from my insistence to blow some cash, so I wound up getting the Guitar Hero III pack instead. My knuckles are f*cking aching like I'm 90 years old right now, but I'm more than happy with my purchase. I'm sure I look like an utter tool rocking out, but who cares, it's fun!

If you're looking for games that really make good use of the Wii-mote Jones, I suggest Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games, Elebits and I've heard great things about the recently released Zack & Wiki from Capcom too. Don't know how much stock you put into IGN.com, but they made Z&W their Game of the Month for October and gave it a 9/10.

Oddly enough, I am still waiting for Guitar Hero III to release up here.. I should just go down to Port Huron or something and pick it up (especially cuz of the dollar right now) Currently having waaaay too much fun watching the kids playing Dance Dance Revolution universe on dad's X360. I cant wait for that to come out for the WII as well.
I see you are playing stupid... Looks like you're winning

Question for Gutiar Hero folk.  Do you have problems with pull offs and hammer ons?  I play on Hard level and get killed on these.  I'm getting better though, any thoughts?

I'm one song away from getting all 5 stars on Medium.  Stupid Megadeath.  I can play on Hard, but keep forgetting where I've put my fingers, since I switch between my index on green and orange depending.

I can do the pull offs and hammer ons, but what always kills me is when there is a back and forth between two notes.  I can't make my brain make my fingers synch up the fret changes and the strumming.  It's my Achilles Heel.

I just finished Bioshock and am now playing F.E.A.R.  I'll probably pick up Assassin's Creed, but I've also got to go through the episodes on The Orange Box.  I also played through Portal, which was a fun two hours.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

I started playing through Final Fantasy VI here recently.

I also started back on playing the 3rd Shadow Hearts game. I played it up to a point and started playing other things and forgot about it.

I'm still working on going through Final Fantasy XII again to see if I can get a perfect game.

As cliche as this sounds, I find just practicing the shifting of your fingers to the orange button is the key.  Also the notch in the yellow button is a big help.  I know its easier sad than done but it will come.  I drove myself nuts trying to figure it out.

Does anyone here play Kingdom Hearts.  I'm not playing it currently but its a great game.  You figure since it has Disney characters it would be an easy kid's game but its not.   I can't say I liked the sequel all that much although the Tron introduction was pretty cool.

I've been replaying Baldur's Gate 2, SOA and will then play BG2: TOB again.

An almost peerless RPG.  =)  Only Fallout 1 and 2 make it in the same arena with BG1 and 2..  in terms of story, gameplay, and sheer craftsmanship of the game...

Dusted off the SNES since I've got tons of kids here this week and we're playing ...

I'd really like to have that KINGDOM HEARTS game myself. I've been playing Smackdown vs. Raw 2008 as well. The controls seem too easy to master in it so far though. Think I'm going to have to set the game to an harder setting.

We've got Kingdom Hearts I & II I haven't played them myself, but my wife and kids seem to think they are both pretty cool. The wife is a big Final Fantasy Junkie, I think she has them all.

I got Assassin's Creed on the X360 at the weekend. Wow, what a game. Stupidly good fun, be it just free running across the rooftops, wandering the streets picking fights with the biggest group of guards you can find and slaughtering the lot, or maybe even actually doing the missions, if that's the kind of weirdo you are. :p

Can't say I'm overly wild about the sub-storyline involving the guy in the future and whatnot - it just doesn't seem necessary, but I guess maybe it'll become a bit more relevant as the game gets further in.

I just finished Onimusha Warlords - really enjoyed that game.  I had to play through it twice because the first time I didn't have nearly enough lives left to get through the final two boss battles.  I'm looking forward to getting the other games in the series, from the reviews I've read it sounds like each one is better than the last.

I just started Rogue Ops (I posted a picture of the cover the other day - you know, the one with the boobs).  It seems okay so far, too early to tell.

And the best part about beating Warlords? Panda Bear costume. Best reward for beating a game since the Resident Evil Tofu. :teddyr:

Oh my god, I was laughing my butt off at that Panda costume!  And you get a daisy on your arm instead of a gauntlet, and that stupid little teddy bear you're carrying around who's frantically looking in every direction!
