There probably was a thread like this before, and I'm just too lazy to check LOL.  Well any ways, since looking over about bad films, I was wondering what everyone thinks is their most disliked film.  This can be hated films as well, I choose not to use hate in the title.  Can also be overrated films, as there are plenty that I think fall in the Overrated category.

Since I am starting the new topic, I guess I will go first.

Titanic - It was absolutely absurd to have a love story be tangled into a real tragic event.  It was just a bad idea imo.

Pearl Harbor - Same thing as Titanic.  Why include a love story in something so tragic.  That would like taking the Movie World Trade Center and have in there have two people fall in love and one of them would get killed in the attack.  ( Note, If you have lost a loved one in the 9/11 attacks, I do not mean to offended you, I'm just making a point about something I cannot stand in films.)  Also the inaccuracies are also awful.

Well, let me explain a little more.  I mean a love story is never anything bad, like two people were in love and one died in a war, or an attack, that is one thing, however though if that becomes the focal point of the film, then I'm sorry it's not going to cut it.

Borat - I watched 40 minutes of this film, and it's just so unfunny and awful.  There is nothing remotely funny about it at all.

Underground Comedy Movie - Watched 20 minutes, put the DVD and it is staying away.  I can see why it's hated so much.  It's just not funny to me.  Maybe if I was like super immature and though farting jokes were still funny.

Jon Cryer made Pretty in Pink worth watching.  And the little cameo by Andrew Dice Clay.

But yeah, Titanic sucked mega time.

The Andrew Dice Clay cameo was neat.  I'll watch it again, I just think it is overrated a little bit.

I don't think it compares at all to Breakfast Club or Sixteen Candles.  But Jon Cryer was great.

More of a chick flick in my opinion.  Which isn't a bad thing.  Just when you go from Breakfast Club to that, it's like, woah.

It isn't really a dislike, but I never did get the whole rapturous reaction to Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon, especially by knowledgeable film critics who should have seen a Hong Kong movie before.  Yes, it was pretty... but good actors were given nothing to do (Michelle Yeoh simply stands around looking sadly beatific), the wirework looks like a bunch of performers suspended from bungee cords, and the entire middle section is a showstopping plot detour overflowing with romantic-adventure cliches.

Best Andrew "Dice" Clay cameo: Amazon Women on the Moon

The only film I actually hated myself for watching all the way through is Full Frontal (2002)...no it's not a porno.  This is the worst movie David Duchovny, Brad Pitt, Julia Roberts, David Hyde Pierce, Blair Underwood (yes, he's still alive), Terrance Stamp and Steven Soderbergh have ever done.  Do.  Not.  See.  This.  Movie.
He learned almost too late that man is a feeling creature... and because of it, the greatest in the universe........

In no particular order...

1.Carnivore
2.Terror Toons
3.Anything Charles Band is responsible for
4.Manticore(I had to throw a SciFi Channel original in here at some point)
5.Pumpkinhead:Bloodwings
6.Any Steaven Seagal film after Out for Justice(Belly of the Beast being the  exception)

Those are just a few off the top of my head, though rest assured, there are many more. Oh andI would've mentioned Red Zone Cuba but that would've been to obvious...

How could you not like Borat?
That movie was hilarious!

And I do kinda like Titanic.
Sure it's kind of mushy in spots, but it is a pretty good movie in my opinion.

Rev. Powell

GOOD WILL HUNTING.  They took FIVE EASY PIECES and slapped a happy ending on it.  Totally predictable and sentimental in the worst sense.  The Robin Williams/Matt Damon hugging scene seems like something that should have taken place on the set of Oprah, and makes me want to puke.  And why was an Eliot Smith song about alcoholism used as the romantic music for the sex scene?  I don't think it's overrated, I think it's actually BAD.  Like pretty much everything Gus Van Sant's been involved with since the excellent DRUGSTORE COWBOY.

Thanks for letting me get this off my chest.  Again.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Killer Bees

For me it would have to be Starship Troopers 2 and Ultraviolet (in no particular order).

I loved Starship Troopers 1 and was looking forward to the second.  I tried really hard to like it, but I sat there thinking "are they KIDDING doing that?".  Even my 16 yo son said, "that was the worst crap I've ever seen".

Also, I usually like Milla Jovovich (Fifth Element, Resident Evil movies), but Ultraviolet had me scratching my head.  The movie ended and I said to my son, "what happened?"  He admitted not understanding it himself, but he loved the movie      Go figure.

I can't think of any other movies that are worse than these two.

An honourable mention in dislike goes to Aeon Flux.  After hearing rave reviews about the comics from my son, I was looking forward to this one.  The plot wasn't as bad as the previous two movies mentioned, but it had me scratching my head at the convolutedness of it all.

I just found nothing funny in the film that I saw so far.  I don't think I can endure anymore of the film.

that rosie perez one everyone likes.  It's a total pulp fiction rip off

Hmmm

Candy, definitely. I've seen cucumber salads that had more sex appeal than Ewa Aulin
Immortel Ad vitam. Just the memory of it makes me shudder. Egyptian gods playing monopoly in bad CGI with worse voice acting.
