If it's not the drugs, it's the drink. If it's not the drink, then it's drugs. She needs to quit performing for however long it takes and try and stay out of the public eye to sort herself out. It can be done. She needs to want to, but obviously she doesn't. The footage I watched from the concert in Belgrade is truly embarrassing and is a disgraceful way to treat her fans, band and promoters. It was like a train wreck, but I'm glad her backing band stepped in to at least give the crowd some sort of professional performance.

She canceled the rest of her Euro tour.  Apparently she does want to get out of the public eye so she can "recover".  Let's hope it sticks this time.

She's been nominated for 6 Grammies from what I've read.

Man, she needs to get her teeth fixed!
I'm certain her teeth are the last of her issues.

R.I.P., though I've never heard any of her songs.

Hmmm....

Nope.

Still don't feel anything.

Maybe I really am cruel...

This was pretty much sign posted with neon lights.
I can undertand it being very upsetting for her parents though.

Well, I will at least do the following;

she should've gone to rehab
She did.  Multiple times.  Never lasted more than a few days, maybe a week there.  Kept checking out.

I know very little about her, except her much-publicized addiction problems.
It's just sad to see a young person throw their life away.

Agree with you Indy. Sadly she did seem to possess talent...

Couldn't believe she was only 27...she looked much older.

Very sad news.  AMY WINEHOUSE was enormously talented.  Unfortunately her drug habit was even bigger.

Not meaning to offend anyone here, because this has more to do with posts on news sites, I'm really annoyed by all the comments about what a tragedy this is because she was just so talented.

Would it be less tragic, less of a senseless waste if she wasn't famous? Or if she was a mediocre singer? Does "talent" excuse her from any responsibility for the choices she made? It just seems irrelevant to me.

And I never saw that much talent, personally. But that's just my own opinion.

I think her age has a lot to do with it. Plus, this kind of thing happens everyday and it doesn't get reported on that widely (in this country anyway). There's a lot more interest because she is in the public eye. It is good that she should be receiving criticism as well as praise because substance abuse should not be glorified.
