My 2 1/2 weeks Christmas Vacation starts on Friday. Why isn't it Friday yet?  :bluesad:

My initial reaction after watching Prometheus, was that it's a rip off of every Alien rip off ever made, like Ridley Scott's giving the finger to the genre he created.
You can sorta sense the venom & bad karma emanating off the screen.

But this afternoon, I got to thinking, it sorta comes across like a bad dream, the kind where you do stupid stuff for no reason, & weird stuff happens, & you encounter weird people doing weird stuff for no reason...
They should've stolen the tunnel scene from 2001, & then it might've made some sense, rather than wasting my time trying to apply any logic to any of it.

I live in a small town (pop. 13162) yet it seems like everybody here owns at least three cars. No matter what time I head downtown there's an unbelievable tense car traffic. Sometimes I have to wait nearly FIVE minutes just to cross a road

Is Hardware (1990) a Christmas movie?
No, really.

My friend Jim come up with a great line.
"You turbolift don't go all the way to the bridge, does it?"
"Aggressivlly eccentric, and proud of it!"

You know it would be really cool to have a badmovies wiki, because the combined knowledge here of obscure movies probably exceeds the imdb community

 Anybody else notice? Brinsley murdered an Asian & a Latino. Makes it that much more pointless, the messages of hatred so much more inane. :bluesad:

Jack - that was awesome!  Thanks!!!
As far as the New York cop-killer, he was aiming at the uniform, not the individuals wearing it.  This was about someone who simply hated cops.

So I was updating my blu-ray player via internet the other week and now I have Netflix on my player. I've never streamed or used a streaming service before so I was considering testing their 30 days free trial, but after doing some research I decided not to stream at all. I love movies and I want to see and hear them with the best quality possible. Streaming HD won't look as good as Blu-ray HD since streaming has to compress data etc. Not only that, you won't get any True HD Lossless Audio. It seems that only something sounding similar to DD 5.1 can be done with streaming. Then there are issues depending on your internet speed (buffering and other annoyances).
I'd say streaming "might" be good for renting movies only, but I don't see how streaming will ever replace physical media. Why settle for less quality?
