I'm seeing a definite difference between people who self-identify as "Horror fans" and those who self-identify as "B-movie fans."  While I'm firmly in the latter, I find myself working and writing with a lot of the former.  B-movie fans are a lot more chill and honest, in my experience. 

Some of the hardcore horror movie fans worry me.

To quote Bill Hicks about the time he worked in a theater that played nothing but horror films.  "A lot of the people who attended those flicks where scarier than the movies we played.  I was sitting down once watching a movie and guy behind me goes, 'Yeah, I remember when I cut off a head.'"

(Bill pauses, turns around, gives a little wave.)

"Uh, hi!  Am I in your way?"  (starts crouching down)

Someone in my workplace actually put a complaint into the suggestion box about September's birthday cake celebration (we do one monthly for the birthdays in the dept) being delayed.  I'm glad I have different priorities as in...hmmm I don't know...getting actual work done.
