Got back with my ex fiancee two weeks ago. Broke up with her on Friday night after I took her out to a club and she proceeded to b***h at me, tell me I'd spoilt the night out (I was just sat there?) and when I took her home in a taxi, she beat the living s**t out of me.

Well I think theres a good chance my son is going in for surgery tommorow, wish him luck please!  Its for PE tube insertion, luckily a quick procedure but its still stresses us out as parents.

By the power of gravity, I appear to have defeated a sinus infection.  My right maxillary sinus (just below the eye) was painfully full, causing pain in the teeth just below it, my nose, cheek, etc.  Refreshing my knowledge of my own cranial anatomy (it's been years since I took an anatomy course), I realize that the drainage orifice of this particular sinus cavity is at the top of it, making drainage difficult. 

Laid down, angled my head to point that orifice down, and let gravity work it's magic(and once gravity finished it's work, let Kleenex handle the cleanup) -- in about ten minutes, I went from having facial pain so severe I couldn't close my mouth all the way to being clean and clear.

I'm playing guitar for a friend tonight.  He's singing, and I'm doing rhythm acoustic in the background.  I'm a little p**sed because I'll miss the Academy Awards...

Yes, they do suck, but it's at least somewhat fun to watch.

We got this DVD player and it worked just fine, so I bought another one for the other TV.  It's the newer model, basically identical to the older model, except the remote control is half the size of the older one, and missing a lot of buttons.   I used those buttons!  It finally occurred to me the other day to program the functions from the old remote into my universal remote, and use that to control the new DVD player.  Duh.  Works much better now - I don't have to go through the menus to use zoom - I just hit zoom and it zooms.  I can even do frame-by-frame advance and review.  See, I do eventually figure things out, it just takes a long time.
