I don't think I've ever seen a Kate Hudson movie but she has a nice butt. Natalie Portman was the Black Swan. No idea which one Cate Blanchette is, at all. none.

Cate Blanchette.....in one of my favorite roles.
Yes,I'm fine....as long as I don't look too closely.

What did you do that was so bad Newt?  C'mon, fess up - inquiring minds want to know :teddyr:

I made a very naughty pun on the fact-of-the-day thread.  Then I deleted it.

Dang it, Newt! I told you to stop deleting your naughty puns! Please restore it this instant!  :hatred:

:bouncegiggle:  Ah: but now you'd know I was conscious of it being a pun.  It is far more fun when you guys cannot decide if I really said what you think I did!

Besides: it really was naughty.   :buggedout:

Okay! Lemme start over. :hatred:
Years now, & I still keep forgetting which one is Kate Hudson, which one is Kate Winslet, which one is Cate Blanchett, & which one is Natalie Portman.

Now I also need to figure out which one did V, which one did Star Wars, which one did that Indiana Jones movie, which one did Titanic, and which one did Black Swan (and if they did anything before or afterwards) before I can figure out who they are, & why they're famous........... :buggedout:

I wonder why you mix up brunette Natalie Portman in with three blond actresses all named "Kate"?

Portman was in "V for Vendetta," "Star Wars," and "Black Swan. "

Hudson is Goldie Hawn's daughter.

Winslet was in "Titanic."

Not sure which one was in "Indiana Jones." IMDB knows.

Liz and Dick is the best movie I've ever seen.

How come Tolkien's elves are big?
And if those are the elves, how big is Tolkien's Santa Claus? :tongueout:

The idea of Elves as tiny midgets is largely a 20th century construct confusing elves with fairies.
In Tolkien's world, Elves are the First Children of the Creator, Eru, gifted with immortality (they do not die of natural causes, but they can be slain).  Galadriel, as played by Cate Blanchett, was one of the oldest elves in Middle Earth, having been born in the Blessed Realm while the Two Trees were still in bloom.  She was over 10,000 years old at the time that Frodo and Sam met her.

I've always wondered why people refer to J R R Tolkien as a British author: he was born in South Africa.

While we're thanking South Africa for people frequently identified as British.
