Why are people always texting each other?  Do they not want to actually talk to the person, or do they figure everyone is so busy that they don't have one whole minute to chat?

I find society very confusing.

I could be wrong but I believe texting is cheaper than actually calling.

Josso

I don't mind it but it kinda bugs me when the texting goes on for hours, also when you are watching something with someone it's like, um can't you just be like OK talk to you in a bit gonna watch this show

As someone in a rural area where you can lose bars in random places, a lot of times it's just more efficient to send a text than try to make a call.

Twitter's the thing I can't stand. Nobody is so fascinating that their thoughts need to be broadcast in 140 character increments all day long.  So stupid.

I really don't understand how Cuba isn't an ally to the US now; personally people who live in the past tends to be grumpy.
yeah no.

Kids drank all my beer

Jack, it's worse than that---it's only early February.

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

I'm glad we didn't go watch Bill Nye debate tonight. The weather is hideous. (snow/ice/freezing rain/snow)

So Bill Nye went head to head with someone.

Religion and science like this is why we can't have nice things. Personally, When it comes to this, I say this- not one side is right.
yeah no.

Last night in the debate with Bill Nye, Ken Ham, operator of the Creation Science Museum, made this argument:

The Bible shows the earth is 6,000 years old

and

the Bible says there was no death before the Fall of Man

so

it is impossible that any fossil on earth can be older than 6,000 years ago. QED.

You know, were I inclined to such thoughts, I might suspect people like Mr. Ham existed to make Christians appear ignorant, therefore furthering the cause of the devil. Wonder if Mr. Ham has ever thought about that?

Personally I've never been prouder of Bill Nye. He was polite, he was entertaining, and he presented his side with almost inarguable logic. Well done, Bill!

I shuddered when I heard of this.  Ken Ham is the worst possible representative of the Creationist community.
Someone like J.P. Moreland or Lee Strobel would have been a much more credible choice.

I've heard that dogs & birds are smarter than primates, that we have more genetically in common with canines the we do primates, that canines evolve faster than any other species, that birds are the most adept at making & using tools...

There's also a growing body of evidence that modern man comes from Asia & not Africa.
