I wonder if any hotel room anywhere in the world has sufficent lighting? All the ones I have stayed in (regardless of the country) the lights always seem to be somewhat dull.

Got a free upgrade for my hotel (well, ok it is all free, as it is a work trip and they are paying for it). Got the honeymoon suite. Lovely four poster bed and jacuzzi. Arran who has stayed here dozens of times and never had an upgrade feels somewhat jealous.

Today is the last day of the trip and I am looking forward to getting home. We are going for breakfast at half seven and then hitting the road.

Looking forward to that.

Got some writing done yesterday. Mostly the sun has been shining too brightly and right on my screen with the direction of travel but yesterday I did get some shade, so another couple of pages are done.

I don't do the hard stuff either.  I'll have a few good beers and have a good time.

Since the overall rating on Amazon (and other sites) reviews usually come down to the ratio between one star and five star reviews, why not replace the star system with a thumbs up or down system?

It really bugs me that so few people ever rate anything from 2-4 stars, when that's exactly the ratings most merchandise deserves.

i rarely buy from amazon anymore, since they are now refusing to charge the checking account i've used there for 15 years. instead, they are demanding that i use he CC i've used ONCE. screw that, i'll buy from ebay with my PP account.
