I wanted to do a Charlton Heston type "You really did it! Damn you all to Hell!" type of thing, but I'll just give up the link and everybody can react their own way.  :tongueout:

Remake of the Killer Tomatoes

"Don't make me stain my last clean shirt with the back of your head." - Shatter Dead
"A grizzly bear with a chainsaw. Now THERE's a killing machine!" - The Simpsons
"I've always wanted to make love to an angry welder." - Jaws: the Revenge

Sacrilege! Cast the offending ninjas to the pirates!

AOTKT worked mostly because it was so unexpected. And because, while there are plenty of gags, they are all played straight. The sequels stank because a.) they played everything as "wacky hijinks," and b.) they tried to add production values and real actors. A remake is doomed because that kind of "magic" cannot be recaptured; people know what to expect after seeing the original. And while Nichols and Sarine can be funny, they aren't the kind of funny that Killer Tomatoes is. They should do something original and more suitable to their own style of humor.

It was somehow funny, though, that the headline, "'Killer Tomatoes' ripe for remake," was accompanied by a large picture of Hillary Clinton (political ad). I don't really know why, but that made me laugh.
"They tap dance not, neither do they fart." --Greensleeves, on the Fig Men of the Imagination, in "Twice Upon a Time."

Doc Daneeka

Well you have to think where the original spoofed the crappy monster flicks of the 50s-70s, all the sequels were spoofing the direct-to-video idiocy of their respective ages :tongueout: (Well all the movies were made by the same guys after all).

I can only hope these ninja guys will catch on and spoof the ultra-serious, hardcore teeny-bopper s**t that nowadays "creature features" are, though I'm not sure everyone will catch on to the joke, big tomato fans should get it :teddyr: .
