For no real reason whatsoever, today I decided to make Zombie Chocolate Bunnies.





The brains are maraschino cherries and the blood is strawberry syrup. I think this soon to be yearly tradition is the greatest thing I have ever done in my entire life. I actually wanted to make a variety of scenes, but the lack of suitably posed chocolate bunnies stymied my ambition. I still find what I ended up with pseudo-terrifying.

Now if I could just convince somebody to eat these things...

That would be Romero's Dawn of the Dead playing in the background. I wanted to catch some still of the movie in the background, but the exposure of the camera was too slow.

I made a few modifications.





It's funny, a day later and the cherries are "wilted," making them look much more brain-like. I suppose I could leave them out for a week or two, then we'd have some real late-stage-zombie bunnies, but that would probably just be more gross than funny.

I'm  doing this next Easter, or maybe now seeing as how chocolate bunniees will be 75% off.
Barbeque sauce tastes good on EVERYTHING, even salad.
