Because they know that doing that would be suicide.  I don't care for PETA myself.  I think it's fine that they just protest and not resort to bombing places like the ELF and ALF do.  Animals should be treated humanely and I always get upset when I hear that an animal was abused on the news or read about it.  Being an animal lover it just upsets me that someone could abuse an animal.

I'm not, it's one thing to insure proper treatment of animals it's another thing to be a fanatical activist and PETA people are fanatical activist.

I'm inclined to state that all  'fanaticals' worry me; rather they be religious fanatics, feminist fanatics, or hannah montana fanatics. There is a reason the term 'fanatic' came along...
