Do you remember the scene with the batteries?

Of course you do.

The scene with NO batteries is more like it! :buggedout:

I used to be completely terrified of Child's Play when I was not-so-much younger. My dad used to laugh. The aforementioned "No-batteries-scene" is the only one he said scared him

For the latest on the fifth installment in Don Coscarelli's Phantasm saga.

As a young kid, Child's Play scared me halfway to death.  Granted, at the time I had a Cabbage Patch doll and a My Buddy (I think they issued them to every kid born in the '80s), so the thought of My Buddy stabbing me was popping into my head at night.

I appreciate the first flick for combining horror and black comedy, but I think it was smart of them to pretty much change it up from a 'horror/comedy' to being a 'comedy/horror'.  Placing the emphasis on comedy is better for this particular franchise, in my opinon.

I just think it's ridiculous they want to remake the first.  The movie stars a doll, so the franchise can continue without fear of the leading actor being 'too-old' to play him.  Just finish it up with new flicks and don't remake any of the previous ones.

Bloodsoaked Phantasm

Once for show and tell in second grade I announced that my brother made me watch Child's Play the previous day. I'm 25 now. I wish I had watched it all the way through then. I miss being scared.
