So almost every year my family takes a drive up to Six Flags Great America.  Always a fun time.  One of my highlights which I will be telling people until I die was that we got stuck on Superman: Ultimate Flight.  If you don't know about this ride, they flip you up in your seat so that you are facing the ground (like superman flies go figure ) and the coaster whirls around like you're actually flying.  Crazy twirls and one massive headfirst drop plus a bunch of other stuff.  Anyway it's a really fun ride, we're about to be dropped back into a sitting position when, (we are sorry, Superman: Ultimate Flight is experiencing technical difficulties.)  Crap!  It wasn't that bad though, my cousins and I were all making jokes the whole time up there and after five minutes they repeated the announcement and I heartily exclaimed "NO SH!T!"  But eventually we got down, I made a couple of jokes about suing due to my mental anguish, it was fun.  And it could have been worse, we might have gotten stuck on that headfirst drop  :bouncegiggle:.

While I'm here I'm going to point out that Six Flags has been advertising this "amazing" new indoor rollercoaster dubbed "The Dark Night."  First off they already have an awesome Batman Ride, second; The Dark Night sucks monkey nuts.  We waited in line for an hour an a hale just to be whipped around in a tiny box on a jerky tack and to have your picture taken right before you hurl from having your organs punched out of your mouth.  Mine looked like I was waiting to suck on some guys  :buggedout:.  Don't go if there is a line.

p.s. there were a lot of people with cell phones out while we were stuck on there so if I find a youtube video I'll post it.  People have put stupider things on youtube  :teddyr:.

This happened to me once at Six Flags New England.  I used to live 20 minutes away so I'd wait until the fall to go.  There was always less people and the annoying pre-teen population was thankfully back in school.  I was on the Mind Eraser just about ready to take off when the system screwed up.  Unfortunately we were already locked in to our seats and couldn't go anywhere.  To pass the time, my friend and I with a couple of guys in the other seats did an 80s hair metal sing along.  It could have been worse, one time the ride go stuck in the first upside down loop leaving people with blood rushing to their heads for a bit.

I've been thankful that I have not been stuck on a ride before.  I haven't been to a amusement park in 2 years (Thank you health problems for that).  The closest one for me in Hershey Park which about 30 minutes or so from where I live.  There is another park a good distance away but it's more of a kid park as I call it so I have no desire to go there but is actually owned by the same group that owns HersheyPark.  I've been to two other amusement parks in the past and several theme parks in Orlando, Florida back in '94 (Feels like forever ago).

In fact HP (which I am calling for this post) opening a new roller coaster this year which from the looks of it is freaking awesome (I'll have to ask a friend of mine to went to HP on Thursday if she went on the new ride or not).
