Watched it last night.

Music was CREEPY.

Zombie-ness make up was KILLER.

and it had 'Splosions!

Not to mention a woman who for whatever reason felt she needed to go scuba diving toppless. WHY? Don't question it!

This movie lived up to its reputation. The only thing that bugged me was the dubbing. Other than that, it was TOPS, yo.

well, quite a lot of italian films are dubbed, even into italian cuts, so don't think that the dialogue fits any better for any other audience.

Caronte

It's "so bad that it's good!"...I have the main title music on my mp3 ( I walk the street and sometimes when I meet a friend I go to him/her as I were a zombi  :bouncegiggle:), the "eye-scene" is amazing, and here, in Spain, the movie title is "Nueva York bajo el terror de los zombies" ("New York under zombi terror")

Eyesore

I love this film because of (not despite) it's many flaws. And lets face it the only way to top the shark vs. zombie scene would be to have both of them attacked by a zombie killer whale or zombie colossal squid (Fulci hit a pinnacle here that hasn't beensurpassed, as far as I'm concerned).

And a kudo for Caronte's avatar of another of my favorite movies! Nice choice, man!

I wonder how they did that Zombie vs shark scene. It looked like a real man-eating shark!

I don't know if the shark had a preference for men over women or not  :tongueout:  but it was a real shark.

The story I have heard is that the original actor scheduled to play the zombie became ill and as a replacement they used the shark's trainer as the zombie. Seems like it worked out pretty well; probably better than it would have with an actor in the role.
