(excerpted) I love Dr Butcher MD.

Doctor Butcher rules!

(watch out for suicidal mannequins) :bouncegiggle:

THE TOXIC AVENGER (1985) is hideously (and hilariously) serious about gore.
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

I've never even heard of this Dr. Butcher movie, and neither has Netflix...I'll have to search E-bay for this one, probably.

That's because it is only on DVD as Zombie Holocaust. There is a DVD, double-feature, which has the Doctor Butcher M.D. cut (full-frame and VHS quality), but it may be considered bootleg as Amazon has removed the listing for it. It was put out by EastWestDVD.

You can get the VHS here: Doctor Butcher M.D.

Despite claims to the contrary, there are no cut gore scenes between the two versions. The Doctor Butcher version has a cheesy, but great, intro that the distributors added to it. The Doctor Butcher version did cut a little from the early city scenes in the film, which in my opinion makes it move along better. Once they get out of the city, both versions are the same, save for some minor added soundtrack and...er...other sounds that can be quite funny (a zombie...automaton...set on fire just flails silently in the Zombie Holocaust version, while he screams like a girl in the Doctor Butcher version).

Either version is great, but the Doctor Butcher version is just a little more fun.

Oh I see.  I already have Zombie Holcaust in my Queue, hehe  :teddyr:

Faces Of Death (1978)
Ech... :bluesad:  Maybe yer right.

I say unto you again: THE TOXIC AVENGER (1985)  "You got any guts...??"
If you want to view paradise . . . simply look around and view it!

I can see many scenes in my minds eye, but old age is preventing me from recalling the titles.

Terf

I'm not a gorehound, but since that's your thing I recommend "Planet Terror," Robert Rodruiguz's creation. (Yes, I know; I'm obcessed with it.) It doesn't have the same "kind" of gore constantly, like "Dead Alive" seems to have, but it does have lots of NASTY bodily fluids (and really gross pictures).
Things could be worse; you could be twins.

ToyMan

evil dead trap
mermaid in a manhole
suicide club

Maybe Oldboy? Not overly gory but the clawhammer scene is not for the squeamish.

Battle Royale maybe not too gory but lots of blood and mayhem

Undead

My personal Top 5 gore flicks...

-Dead Alive
-The Devil's Rejects (not a lot of gore but what there is of it is pretty intense)
-The Evil Dead
-Demons
-Suicide Club (Am I the only sicko out here who thinks this one's kinda funny??? "A-one and a-two and...")
Can you yell "Movie!" in a crowded fire station?

Neville

Some people mentioned Lucio Fulci in last page, I'd like to add "The beyond".
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Well, I just watched Zombie Holocaust, AKA Dr. Butcher MD, and I was impressed by that one.  I'm putting together a collection of movies I'm going to re-order from Netflix just before Halloween, and that one's certainly made my list.
