Lots of fireball and lightning spells? *Checks for his Circle of Protection Red cards.*

I was out today and saw a three-pack of random fifteen-card LOTR boosters for $17.99 and was all ready to buy them when I read this is a stand alone set that while bound by MTG's rules is not readily playable with any other MTG release. It's a novelty collector's set that uses so much unique internal terminology it doesn't match well to being played against any cards but another set of LOTR cards put in a deck. On one hand that's no big deal, but it cooled me off on the cards so much I didn't buy them.

(I bought a cool realistic plastic crow in a garden center instead. I like crows...)
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

The legends decks seems to be the way forward with mtg, at least for the immediate future.
