Thor Il Conquistador! (1983)

It says Thor the Conqueror on the cover but the Italian title is obviously superior.  The first thing you notice is the terrible film quality which is just about on par with the budget, acting, and everything else about it.   2 impossible to discern figures move across some sort of grove.  Whatever your imagination told you a movie with a title like "Thor, il conquistador" was going to be you are let down as it resembles nothing more than   "Manos the hand of fate" or a similar Ed Woodian turkey. 

     But I have to say of all the cheap italian rip off of american films circa the early 80's I have seen, this is one of my favorites.  It's certainly better than Karzan the italian jungle man.  As always, the female lead is very pretty, there is a good amount of action and most importantly, they play it straight.  However patheticly, they are really trying to re enact the story of Thor, born of Gant the Annihilator and enemy of Newt.  He's a democrat apparently Thor. 

  They even use the pregnant woman as tension during a dramatic violent moment when it is really inconvenient not once but twice.   definately gets one of these
