Huey Lewis- Sure, the songs may not 'mean' anything, but they're good little pop songs.

Naw, AHD's just trying to trick you into giving up Huey Lewis.     I already let Nukie2 post 5 at a time, so I have to let your 2 in.

I nominate:

33. Bill Monroe, the Father of Bluegrass

I'm surprised to see so many unfamiliar names here... guys like Harold Arlen and Lamont Dozier.  When I look them up, I realize I know the songs, just not the name of the writer.  It's a shame the performer usually gets all the credit and the writer is forgotten.
