AELITA, QUEEN OF MARS is it!

Dang... I'm one of 3 people in the world that's actually seen AELITA, and I didn't recognize the pic!  The funny face the guy is making threw me into thinking this was from some screwball sci-fi farce.

It's been a while since I've seen AELITA but I'm guessing the guy's expression is supposed to represent 'anger' or 'fear' or maybe 'I pooped my pants'.  :teddyr:

I dunno, Kester, but I'll make a guess: on VHS but not DVD... hmmmm...

Kurosawa's DODESKADEN?  :tongueout:
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

It was partly the woman's head dress that gave it away.  I've sadly not seen Aelita but have seen quite a few stills of the costumes and art deco sets so I just took a wild guess.  Which explains why my newest quiz pic was kinda lame.  I wasn't prepared and just grabbed something off the HD.

Sorry, no.

Hint #1: This is a sequel.  Both movies are based, in name at least, on an infamous novel series.

And now a close-up of the combatants from the above scene. .

I'm wondering if this is "Burial of the Rats."  I have that film in my collection on LD, it's just buried in a box right now.

EDIT TO ADD:  I think that costume design is just a little off for "Burial" though.

It smells like something from the 80's to me. Did they ever make a sequel to RED SONJA?

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

While I never noticed it before Andrew is right those costumes do have a "Burial of the Rats" vibe alas. . .

Thank you, thank you.  (Waits for applause to die down.  Realizes he's jumped the gun and waits for applause to begin.  Waits awhile, gives up).

Here's my submission:

Could be extremely easy or incredibly hard, I don't know which.

It's not "City Of The Lost Children" is it Rev?

JJ80

Possibly "Don't Look Now" with the red coated dwarf in the background?
There are few things more beautiful than a sporting montage with a soft-rock soundtrack

I was going to say "Don't Look Now" but I thought the Rev would think that it's too obvious, an I think he posted something about it recently too.
