EATEN ALIVE is vastly overlooked by people looking for classic '70's horror. I think it's almost as great as the TEXAS CHAINSAW NASSACRE as far as scares go. The scene of Neville running up the stairs with his sycle,-hollerin' like a space case- after the 2 women is a nailbitter!

Sorry I got it so quick...I just love this movie and spotted it right off!

Ok...my turn,I reckon...
This pic is a backstage shot from the film...but the monster is so unique, anybody familiar with the film will recognize,it.

"Carry On Screaming"?

No,,,but that's a good guess....clue: A very well know dramatic actor -who became famous for appearing in comedies later in his carrear starred as the hero in the film.

Raffine

I was trying to figure out if it was some obscure Frankenstein saga. He reminds me a bit of an uglier version of Don Megowan's creature from Tales of Frankenstein: The Face in the Tombstone Mirror.

RC, I'm sure you remember this pic from FM:

Megowan also played the 'land creature' in THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US and the sheriff in THE WEREWOLF (1956).

I got nuttin' else...
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

DARK INTRUDER (1965)?

Yup...you got it. The hero was played by none other than Leslie Nielson! The creature was some kind of Sumarian demon.

Raffine: I do indeed rember that pic! The pic that I posted is from the inside cover of FM #81,in fact. He looks a wee bit like the Aliens from the 3 STOOGES IN ORBIT too.

I got it by looking for horror movies starring Leslie Nielsen.

The Chicken and MR.Ghost? Son of Rooster Cogburn?

Seriously ...
The COCKFIGHTER(1974)? Never seen it...but couldn't that be Harry Dean Stanton?

No, it's not COCKFIGHTER (which is pretty cool if you can get past the actual cockfighting in it).  The actor is no one anyone would know (none of the actors in it are; they're mostly just friends of the director).

The scene is not really part of the plot of the movie.  It's something that people might remember, though, because it makes you reflect, "Wait a second, why in the hell is there suddenly a beatnik holding a chicken in this movie?"

Unless he posted a de-colorized photo, I don't think it is "Cockfighter", which is a very good movie if you can get past the actual cockfights being shown.

It has the over blown look of a Doris Wishman era film. But I don't think she ever filmed anything that clean looking. And that guy...he looks soooooo familiar, but I can't quite place him.  Damn those sunglasses!

Wow, Rev., we said practically the same thing.  Creepy.

Mebbe a Russ Meyer movie...I don't know which one,as I've only seen two....

Rev. Powell

It was originally filmed in B&W.  It's not Russ Meyer, although he released 3 movies the same year this was released.

It's also not Doris Wishman.  Some would argue this director is even worse than Wishman.

I'm pretty sure that actor never popped up in anything again.  Anything's possible though.
