yes! back of the net! i've been dying to get one of these since i joined, and now i feel like i've ... arrived.

fortunately my '2 disc anniversary deluxe edition' of master of the flying guillotine includes an essay on the history of the flying guillotine in martial arts cinema.

It actually mentioned this film?  It's probably the most obscure use of it - I must admit, I'm impressed with whoever wrote the essay. 

It's worth tracking down if you're a fan of classic 60s and 70s wuxia/chambara films, as it brings together the flying guillotine, Zatoichi, AND the One-Armed Swordsman.  Zatoichi is the only one who's virtually identical with his original film counterpart - the Chinese guy playing him (it's not Shintaro Katsu as the HKMDB suggests) is actually quite good. 

The film has some serious problems, like some sloppy editing, shooting (made worse by a horrendous 4:3 crop job) and choreography and from what I can tell a pretty dull plot...  But still, worth a look for major fans.
