Hunchback of Notre Dame? Should be the version with Anthony Quinn...

Dangit!  I was thinking it had to be a version of LES MISERABLES, but I couldn't find one from the right time period.  So close...

There Hugo again!    :teddyr:
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Ok, here we go.

Only hint for now: you would never guess this movie has a bunch of swordplay (and in the case of this picture, somehow who got four fingers STABBED INTO HIS SKULL) in it based on the title.

The Limits of Control?

I would have gotten that if the movie had played here.  :bluesad:

If you get to see it, don't watch it alone. You'll need someone to talk about it later on...

Heroic Trio?

Nope.

Ok, it has been three days.  This is from the early 1970s, and it is a Shaw Bros. flick.  It is available on DVD, and has a fairly long title.

Here's another pic.

Major hint: if you've seen the cover of DVD release of this film, this pic should give it away.

Are those pics from Intimate Confessions of a Chinese Courtesean I see?

Nice flick, if that's what they're from.  Now if I could only remember where I put that DVD.

You got it!  Could you have gotten it with just the first picture?  That might have been tricky, but the second picture is by far the most iconic scene from the film.  And yeah, I like the film, but I was quite surprised by the amount of bloody swordfighting - pretty good stuff actually.

Pics are a little fuzzy because they're pulled from the Celestial VCD release, which is the only copy I have of it - probably the best quality VCD I've ever seen though.

You're up Kester!

Found my DVD!  Wasn't actually lost.  I apparently just never bothered to look for it.  D'oh! (It was in a random stack stuck between Spiritual Kung-Fu and Tremors.) As to your question, probably not.  The second pic. .

Comes from the scene used to illustrate the cover of the Image DVD.  Though, now that I have the DVD in hand, there's also a pic from the bloody finger torture scene on the back.  Not sure I'd have remembered it, fuzzy pic or no.

To keep the theme going here's a screen cap from another rarefied Asian epic. .

Hmmm..  The actor on the horse looks familiar, but I can't quite place it.  Damn.

That actress looks familiar, but I can't quite place her with that bar there...
