If it's not YOUNG DOCTORS IN LOVE might it be BAD MEDICINE?

Dang!  I can't believe I overlooked that!

Me too. I was thinking of something much older and was mucho confusedo.

Are we sure that's not Moe Howard in that photo?
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

JaseSF

No, it's not Bad Medicine.

Hint # 1: This film features a ring of power.
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

JaseSF

Hint # 2: This movie appeared at the following film festivals: Vancouver International, Raindance & Hawaii.
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

JaseSF

Hint # 3: The above-mentioned ring of power can be used to revive the dead but the ring must also undergo an "unusual" purifcation ritual.

What?  Close to 5 days without ANY guesses!?

Congratulations JaseSF.  You have stumped the entire board and earned a Bad Movie Merit Badge for Obscure Sinema Leetness.  Now, to complete the badge pinning ceremony, you just have to drink a six pack of ice chilled IBC root beer while standing on one foot, in spiderman underwear, while reciting dialogue from The Godfather as if read by Jar-Jar Binks while two incredibly gorgeous and totally nude Bad Movie Villainesses tickle you with ceremonial ostrich feathers.

Now in a vain attempt to restart this thread here's a screen cap from a movie taken from a DVD that I'm almost certain most here have probably seen, or at least heard of. . .

Hint #1: Based on Manga.

Hint #2: Part of a series.

Hint #3: Incredibly silly.

What?  Still no joy.  Okay one more screen cap. .

Did I mention this was part of a series, based on manga, and incredibly silly?

I have no idea what film that is Kester. Anyways one further clue about the one I posted and hopefully someone will figure it out: It was released in 1999. BTW karma to you Kester for the congratulations post above. It made me laugh.  :bouncegiggle:

I know what film series it is, I just don't know which individual movie from the series it is exactly.

:buggedout:

More incredibly silly screen caps for JaseSF!  STAT!!!

Andrew: I know there's fruit looms commercials that show more skin on TV but we Bad Movie hooligans have a higher moral character than TV so if you think the above was too much please go ahead and edit it out.  Now on to the ambiguous too dark to tell WTF is going on pic. .

Female Convict Scorpion Jailhouse 41 (1972)?

Oh and another clue about the screen capture I posted no one guessed: the lead only has one other acting credit and it's in a film with Traci Lords (but no, not that kind of film, you pervs!  :bouncegiggle:).
