JaseSF

Reminds me of a "New Avengers" episode.
"This above all: To thine own self be true!"

Kester Pelagius

Not Beast from the Haunted Cave.  Rev. Powell is correct in identifying the stop sign as British and, come to think of it, so is the movie.  At least I think it is.  Takes place in Britain with an all British anyhow.

And Skull. . .

Welcome to the board!

Alas the movie isn't Lifeforce.  Great first guess though because this movie IS apocalyptic.  And JaseSF, you've pegged the time frame. This movie come out sometime between when The Avengers went off air and the New Avengers went into production.

To tally up the hints so far: It's a (post) apocalyptic British movie that came out circa the 1970s.

Here's another screen cap. .

Don't believe every file name that you find in "Properties".  Nice trick, Kester.

I thought that last screen cap might give it away.

Seriously? Huh. Dont i look dumb.

I seriously was just watching the trailer for ANGELS on youtube and I remembered some biker gand thing and the steriotipical 70s movie naratior says "ANGELS, HARD AS THE COME". Ive never seen the movie itself, but i was like "huh. ill give it a shot. maybe ill be right" And not only did i NOT get it right, I managed to make myself look like a jerk at the same time.

Ill take my dunce cap now! thanks!

(the ANGELS bit is at the 2:08 point, i think)

Nah, you're fine.  When I saw your answer, I did the properties things and saw the .jpg had that on it.  Funny stuff.  Now to find a confusing photo.

This is from a dandy piece of filmmaking.  Probably too easy.

Kester Pelagius

Given the pained expression on the man's face, paired with the vaguely grizzly shaped shadow lurking over his shoulder, and what looks like a laptop in front of him this is obviously from the yet-to-be aired sciffy original movie. . .

ZOMBIE GRIZZLY BRAIN SUCKER: DAY OF DOOM

Either that or, given the vaguely orange looking color of the man's shirt, and the off chance that laptop might actually be the corner of a prison style cafeteria chair, this could be from the yet-to-be aired skinemax DTV flick. . .

SHANKED IN OZ

I jest as I have no clue.  Perhaps a hint?

And, KYGOTC, no worries.  That's why I chose that pic, because it reminded me of that movie for some odd reason.

Aren't red herrings wonderful?  Mmm.

A hint?  Hmmmm...a bit of 70's drive-in schlock.  No monsters, nothing supernatural, but references to incest.  And there's 50,000 reasons the main character does some really stupid things.

Do those help?

Rev. Powell

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

Possibly from GATOR BAIT?

Wow.  Excellent guess. Makes want to watch "Gator Bait" again. But is it right?

Uh, no.

I'm beginning to think I'm the only person who has seen this thing.  I have the ultimate nerdy hint that would lead folks to the answer, but I'm hoping it won't come to that.

Javakoala

Okay, another hint while I'm at work and then I'll post another screen cap when I get home.

I'm guessing George Lucas must have had some love for this movie as he used a star of this film in his classic "first" Star Wars movie "Star Wars IV: A New Hope".

Javakoala

My god, have I single-handedly killed this thread?
