MST3K Costume Party

If I still surrounded myself with the friends I had in high school, I would do this. As it is, maybe somebody else can take the idea and run with it.

Here's the theme: a party where people come dressed as their favorite characters from episodes of MST3K. I'm not talking about Mike, Joel, the Bots, the Mads, Pearl, etc. I'm talking about characters in the movies they've riffed on over their storied history. A few ideas? Personally, I'd like to go as Zap Rowsdower (The Final Sacrifice), Dan Kester (Giant Spider Invasion), Kalgan (Space Mutiny), Dr. Ted Nelson (The Incredible Melting Man), or one of the the eye creatures (Attack of the the Eye Creatures) - preferably the one who only has half a costume and wears sneakers.

Who would you dress as for such a shindig?

A couple of more that came to mind today. How about Torgo and/or The Master (Manos), the robot from Santa Claus Conquers the Martians, or, to borrow a cue from DS, another "classic" Joe Don Baker character, Thomas Jefferson Geronimo III (Final Justice). The last one would be easy. You could basically do the Mitchell thing and just add a cowboy hat.
