So what's your name mean, Ghouck?  Is it a contraction for "ghoul suck"?

First initial, Last name. Nothing creative at all. . .

As for the Avatar, , It's me with the Afro-mullet

JaseSF

Pretty simple, probably just what you thought. Jase is short for Jason, my first name. and "SF" refers to my lifelong love of science fiction. Of course I also used the handle "sfaddict" and just "Jase" in the past so JaseSF is like combining the two into one.

I could make something out of that. :tongueout:

Thanks, your handle is one that puzzled me.  It sounds really cool and mysterious, though.  It really rolls off the tongue.
Yes, I agree it rolls off the tongue... but who is your avatar, Kester?

Of course Robert is right (his first name) there had been at least one other thread on this very subject.

I was born on All Saint's Day, the old name of which is All Hallows Day.  I chose my avatar because GENE as WILLY is a wise, nearly magical, fool.

Trevor seems to be the only other person who knew that Doctor Menard's first name is David. Of course, it is only mentioned once in the movie, by his wife, so it is easy to miss.

:teddyr:

The weird thing is that I've only ever seen Zombie on what must have been a 20th generation VHS as the film has been banned here for many years, but I do remember Richard Johnson and his character's name. That music still makes me go  :buggedout: :buggedout:.

Now you all know why I call the good gentleman Doctor Menard.

My screen name is my first name ~ the other two initals in my name stand for Tiberius and Titus, so I'm TTT all the way.

And yes, my avatar is a pic of me: taken in Bloemfontein on 19th June 2008 at the gala function of the Volksblad Art Festival. Now that was a cold night indeed.

WingedSerpent

I really didn't get creative with mine.  Q the Winged Serpent was the most recent monster movie I saw before I registed on the board.  I liked the name WingedSerpent because it was easier to type out than some of My favorite Harryhausen monsters like the Rheduasurs.  Although TheYmir could have been cool.  I also figured somewhere on the board my have been someone name Godzilla, or Gamera, or some other famous monster.

My avatar is a picture of me holding a camera in front of my face.  Again, it was one of the first things I thought of.  For a while I've thought I would change it, but its working for me so far.

My quote is a Late Show Fun Fact that I thought was funny.

and if anyone's interested My real name is Christopher.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

Why that would actually be (heavily photoshopped) Kester Pelagius, sir!

I originally created that as my Mise-en-scene Crypt persona and just started using it as my general avatar.

I didn't even realize at first that it could be read as the old Indian king's title of Raj.

Raffine

'Raffine' is the rather harmless sounding name demented bad film maker Andy Milligan would slap on some of the credits of his movies so it didn't look like he did practically everything. The idea was to make crap like THE GHASTLY ONES and BLOOD-THIRSTY BUTCHERS appear a bit more professional.

I recently discovered it's also the name of an art gallery in Savannah, GA.

I can only assume they display lobby cards from THE RATS ARE COMING! THE WEREWOLVES ARE HERE! along side the water colors of fancy old houses.
If you're an Andy Milligan fan there's no hope for you.

Naturally, I just can't let this go without a few harmless snipes...

AnubisVonMojo

My name's got nothing to do with Austin Powers, in case anyone thought as much. I've been using the Anubis moniker since I started writing for the internet. The Von Mojo part was something I used while playing Tenchu 2. When using the "create your own level" editor, you saved each level under a name. I like to tag "Von" into names cuz it sounds funny and at the time I was thinking of X-Men villain Mojo, hence "Von Mojo". Meh.

The avatar? Been a little schizo lately and can't settle on one, so I just used images of past avatars and made a slideshow. Evil Dead Alan Hale is still my favorite though.  :teddyr:

For some reason I had always assumed it was an homage to Ash from Alien:question:

... it took me a while to figure out it was just Fred backwards ... I started using the name because the d, e, r and f keys are all close together and were quick to type in ...

Which is exactly why I tend to use 'FRED' and derivations thereof for variable names when I write quick-and-dirty programs.  2nd most popular: 'ASDF'.

So what's the story behind your screen name?

Well, when I signed up on this forum I used one of my anonymous e-mail accounts, so to keep things straight I used the same name as the e-mail.  It simply refers to my favorite team, the Chicago Blackhawks.

As for my avatar, I wanted something original, unique and G-rated, so I went through all of the animated GIFs I had saved on my computer over the years and chose the one you see (after some slight modifications).  What can I say?  I like Snoopy.  And happiness is a dancing beagle.

I had considered using the screen name Heywood Jablome after reading a funny story about it on snopes.com but I've found a home here and don't want to be evicted if I offended anyone.
