I got an Email telling me the item was "significantly misrepresented," and had been yanked.   I have no idea WTH they mean by that.  I've got three Emails out to them; if there's a way to legally relist the hat, I will do so and will post the link in this thread.

Would you like me to point the thought of the day link to a different site for the time being?

Menard

For the time being, I have just your thought of the day (updated a little :teddyr:) without a link to the auction.

That's nuts!  I wonder if some total idiot thought you were promising to sell them Indiana Jones' hat.  There's still no misrepresentation if they read the listing.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

What comes to mind as a possibility, though "significantly misrepresented" is a poor choice of words, is that the number of artifact finds claimed that the hat has been on is not provable.

Another possibility could be that someone feels that the suggestion of Indiana Smith's Fedora is misleading due to some dolts mistaking it for Indiana Jones.

There is the possibility that someone who bid on it wanted to retract their bid, but claimed misrepresentation to get out of it.

No telling, though, as this is eBay and they seem to have an ever escalating history of doing dumb things.

OK, the misunderstanding is cleared up, and the hat will be back on EBay tomorrow!!! :teddyr:  :bouncegiggle:
