Ash

I caucused for him in the Iowa Caucuses in January and supported him throughout his entire journey to the presidency.
I am proud to have done that for Barack Obama.

Here's the caucus video I shot:

Any thoughts about the results of this election?

Finally, I can put the last 8 years behind me.

Unfortunately this is a big loss for comedians, some of whom I'm sure voted for McCain in the hopes of Palin providing them with endless material for a few years. :tongueout:

McCain really shot his campaign in the foot with picking Palin as his running mate.  If the woman had had a clue about anything, than maybe she wouldn't have been such a hinderance to his changes of winning the white house.

The popular vote was pretty close though, but it's nice for the popular vote to actually be the same result as the electoral vote.

Whoo, lorry.  I'm agreeing with Menard, again.  The gun is good, the Zap is bad!

Then I guess that "Sera Paylin" porno movie is already obsolete only days after its release.

I'm considering getting that porn movie.  I've seen part of the beginning where the actress who plays "Sara Palin" who I would have to say if her voice was different I would not be able to tell the difference between the two at all.

the reason he won:  the 8 years of pure hell that has been the bush regimes tenure.

While he wasn't my candidate (neither was McCain, really), I wish him the best of luck. He ran a good campaign, taking the high road (most of the time), while McCain took the bad advice of his handlers and ran a dirty campaign, slinging mud all over the place. May this election mark a change toward more high-road campaigns and away from all the name calling. Back when Bob Dole ran against Clinton, a similar thing happened--after the election, Dole went on the David Letterman show and was funny, personable and charming, while during the campaign, he came across as mean, dour, and all too serious. While I can't say it cost him the election, I dare say he would have done better letting the "real" him shine instead of running a dirty campaign. Same with McCain: If he had let his personality come through instead of listening to his handlers, he might have done better. At any rate, congratulations to Obama, and may the country prosper in coming years!

No candidate can be all things to all people but I'm glad Obama won because I think he is most likely to wash the taste of the past 8 years  out of my mouth. I wish him well because he has a long hard road ahead of him. That goes for many of us.

I really wish we could keep Palin around for entertainment purposes. Someone should give her a talk show or appoint her Federal Jester or something.
