This one is really for my brother, but I too have wondered about it for over 20 years now.
I did not have USA channel so always missed Black Belt Theater. However, one of the local UHF channels(channel 62 here in KCMO)had something called Kung Fu Theater, which aired on Saturday evenings.
The 3 movies that I am asking about are a few that they showed.
1.A chimpanzee called Uncle Monkey by a young boy who I think is an orphan.Unfortunately,"Uncle Monkey"wanders away on his own and is eaten by a python.
2.A young boy is made up to look like a girl by his parents(i guess they wanted a daughter). They call him Wing Ding?Ling Ding?Maybe this and the Uncle Monkey one are the same movie.....
3.This involves something called cooking kung fu.At one point, the kids in the village come by to check out this young mans cooking. He lifts the lid off the wok and judging by the look on their faces, the food stinks. His teacher/master beats him.
4.There are these 2 guys with very long braided pony tails that they use to fight with.At one point, one of them uses his hair to throw grenades. They refer to their fighting technique as,"ding dong style".

1. could be KUNG FU: MONKEY, HORSE, TIGER.  Check out the plot summary, there is a monkey (doesn't say chimp) character called "Uncle Monkey":

I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

This sounds like the same movie I am looking for in this forum thread.

Even without ever finding out the name of this movie, I feel vindicated that I am not insane (because at least one other person on this planet has seen this film and I therefore did not hallucinate it ).

#1 is definitely KUNG FU: MONKEY, HORSE, TIGER.  It's in the Mill Creek Martial Arts 50 pack under the name KUNG FU ARTS. I just watched it last night.  Very ridiculous, and it stars "Sida, the French Monkey Star" as the chimpanzee eaten by a python!!  I enjoyed it quite a bit.

Nothing in KUNG FU ARTS matches #2, however, so they are different memories.

I think #3 may be "Of Cooks and Kung Fu" aka "Tao tie gong" (Amazon, IMDb, YouTube).  See my post in my thread for more details.
