Slow Jam King (2004)

             This gets put in this section not because it is low budget and amateurish  but because it is kind of dishonest.  judging by the trailer you'd think this was a "Napolean Dynamite"  or "Film Geek" type nerd fest and for the first 20 or so minutes it is.  then all the sudden it turns into a really very conventional  road movie.  The geek is transformed and we have no idea why.  it makes no sense.  I don't think the filmaker did it on purpose, I just think he tried to fit two ideas together and it didn't really pan out .   But if you were a cynic you would say the first part is trendy and the second part is hackneyed.  not much of an endorsement.  requisite hot girl is indeed hot.  I dno't watch too many recent movies so it was a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to live here.   AMAZING theme song though
