Howdy everyone:

I made a micro-budget horror movie titled Us Sinners, which is available for rent or purchase from Amazon.com

www.ussinners.com is the official site. 18 and over only (not pornography, just graphic horror)

There's two types of viewers for Us Sinners, the ones that enjoyed it, thought it had great acting, a tight script and some truly memorable kills. The ones that hated it, believe from the depths of their souls I should be shot for creating this piece of s**t.

Review Quotes: Good

Full Moon Reviews: Score - 3.5 Howls Outta 4

Horror 101: Those who aren't afraid to get down and dirty will really enjoy this indie feature.
82 out 101

Horror Reviews: The ending is as shocking as it gets! All I can say is, you have to see it for yourself!

IHFS: Us Sinners is a low budget winner. 4 out of 5 stars.

MoviesMadeMe: The film features an ending that goes beyond disturbing and quickly finds itself in "that is just f**ked up" territory. 9 out of 10

Plot Hole: To the indie genere stalwarts, here is one that will make you remember why you love to troll the internet and flea markets for the movies no one else has seen, but should.

Uncouth Industries: There's nothing like a microbudget horror film done right. Its a rare breed, but it does exist. Us Sinners is one of those films.

Video Views: Those  looking for a film that is made for true horror fans I have to say own this DVD  when it comes out.

This is a site dedicated to bad movies so, here's blurbs from the reviewers that hated it. I won't give their names or sites because f*** them. Also, quite a few of these asses give ending spoilers in their reviews.

BAD BLURBS:

Us Sinners is let down by the acting, dialogue, cinematography and script.

I envy Roger Ebert. Apparently, after you've reviewed movies for forty years, have your own show and win the Pulitzer, you can get away with reviewing the first eight minutes of a film and leave it at that. I can't. I sat all the way through this Godawful monstrosity just so I can tell you not to do the same. I'm tempted to call Us Sinners the worst horror movie I've seen this year...But JUST horror? JUST this year?

Director George Snow manages to succeed at consistently letting down the audience... Us Sinners is a complete waste of time. 1 out of 5

This movie is an embarrassment to horror films and indeed mankind as a whole. This is George Snow's first film, and with luck it will also be his last.

The film would have benefited from better acting, production and polish.

The soundtrack is distractingly bad mainly due to the terrible recording quality of the songs (all written and performed by George Snow), which is about as amateur as you can get.  The shot composition seems like it wasn't thought out at all.  The editing could have been a lot better.  There are many long scenes that would have benefited from a tighter edit.  The movie as a whole would have been a lot shorter if all of the unnecessarily long scenes were cut down to a more comfortable length.  Although much of the cast didn't seem like actors as much a friends who had been convinced to help out with the movie, there were a couple of stand out performances.

The "Us Sinners" experience is like gazing into the void to discover a "Back in 5 Minutes" sign. All the darkness and desolation are there, but it's still not much to see.

You folks watch movies like Us Sinners. YOU DECIDE, because as the film-maker I'm completely stymied. I know you can't please everyone, but dang!

The stills and trailer look great ~ all success with it.
We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

Meh, what the Hell. For $2 I'll give it a rental. I'm taking a month off from reviewing after next week so your flick will be my stepping out feature. Look for it to be posted next week at tombofanubis.com, probably around Thursday or Friday.

Cool, thank you. And please no spoilers, especially the ending.

I don't know anyone that's rented it, but it has been rented. If it doesn't play like you're watching a DVD. If the audio doesn't sink with the video, let me know and I'll contact Amazon.

I like the fact that you quoted bad reviews of your own movie.  That shows guts.
I'll take you places the hand of man has not yet set foot...

If you can tick someone off to write such awful things, then I've done something. Plus the excellent reviews cancel the bad ones out. Us Sinners is not a movie you sit middle of the fence.Though now that I've mentioned it, they'll probably start coming.

No problem, I do my best not to spoil on movies less than 5 years old. I figure that if you haven't watched a movie after half a decade, you don't care enough about it to care if someone reveals the ending. :drink:

I appreciate the honesty of coming right out and trying to sell us his movie. Sure beats the guys who come on the board pretending to be fans of their own movies. Mind you, we do have a lot of fun with those people. :teddyr:

Yeah, I should say thanks to you folks not coming down on me for being a new poster and plugging my movie.

THANKS!

Shameless plugs by producers/directors are welcome here, as long as they are up front about it . . . unlike our friend, Scarlet Fry!!!!!

Yeah, as Indy put it, shameless plugs=good, deceptive plugs=baaaaaaaaaad. It's not the advertising we dislike, it's being treated as if we were morons who couldn't smell bulls**t from a mile away. :teddyr:

Ditto!!! I get very vocal at times...our fearless leader-(Andrew ) has had to whip me back-much like Dr.Vornoff does to Lobo- for my insane attacks on BS'er's...shamless plugs are fine by me,as Darksider sez-but phonus balonus posters irk me...it insults what little intelligence I have....

PS-the movie sounds interesting. I like ultra -low budget stuff! It's what makes future filmakers! Al Adamson,Ed Wood,Ray Dennis Steckler, and (dare I say it? YES I dare!) Andy Milligan are all BAD MOVIE legends...!
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

Being as I enjoyed Shelf Life, and love Chad Ferrin's movies, and hell, even enjoyed Beyond the Wall of Sleep, I may have to check that one out.

If you like lo-budget movies, I think you'll appreciate Us Sinners. Even some of it's detractors were impressed by the unique murders. One of the reviewers that hated the movie gave it the following -

Gore-o-meter rating: 4 out of 5 (There is a fairly good amount of gore in original ways)

I think what makes the haters despise it, is the onslaught of unpleasantness throughout.

Well, I did say I love Chad Ferrin movies, which feature a lot of that.
