DOJ considering intervening in RIAA trial (Scary stuff alert!)

This is especially scary considering that the second and third highest positions in the Justice Dept. are now filled by former RIAA lawyers.

This case relates to Sony trying to seek damages in the range of 2200 - 450,000 times the actual damages.

Hmm ... If nothing else, those two guys really should be recused from the case.  That seems a pretty clear-cut case of conflict of interest.
