Friday The 13th Part 3: Once more In 3-D, and on DVD.

I found this DVD in Best Buy for only 15 bucks, and it came with two 3-D glasses, so I decided to go with it. 

Plot and character-wise, we all know it's a pretty standard Friday film, but now we finally get to see how the short lived 3-D craze of the early 80's actually helps to distinguish part 3 from all the other entries. 
Yes, we all know this is the one where Jason finally dons the hockey mask, but I was very surprised to see how effective the 3-D aspect of this film is. 

Granted, it's not perfect.  It's basically the old red and blue trick.  But, you can tell they really put in the effort to get all they could out of such a simple effect, and it ultimately entertained me. 

If you want a fun novelty to add to your B-movie collection, you could do a lot worse than this DVD.  It's especially good if you have a flat screen TV, like the one I just got.
