Here's a little interesting story for my homestate.  During the middle of a surgery, a nurse is called out of it just to be told she is being laid off.  First and most importantly, isn't there a better time to tell someone they have lost their job?  I don't think she needs to have negatives thoughts on her mind during the middle of surgery!  Also, the manager has broken medical protocol by taking the nurse out during the procedure.  The patient is fine and everything, but still!

What do you guys think?   Here's the link:

We live in quite an interesting age. You can tell someone's sexual orientation and level of education from just their interests.

Seems like some idiot didn't think that one through. Not only is that a violation of medical procedure you could also put the patient at risk if for some reason the nurse is needed back in the surgery room.

Mr. DS

I work in a hospital and would hope it would never happen here.  That is tactless, distasteful and worst of all greatly compromises patient care.
